Tasters in 2010Hundred-aker-wood gets Tasty!In addition to the regular lessons, we are staging pottery taster workshops on the 3rd Sunday of each month at the new Portland Arts Centre. Follow this link for details and a map Cost £35 per adult and £18 for under 16's Spend a full day (10.00 till 17.00) throwing on the wheel under tuition or relax and enjoy whilst handbuilding. For the experienced potter student, the day is yours to be as creative as you wish. Further dates and venues can be arranged, please contact us for details. All clay, other materials and tools supplied. For day taster/workshops all firing charges are extra and cost £1 per item, £2 for items over 7 inches tall. All glazed and fired pots will be posted to your home address. Postage charged at £6 for first 3 items. Each additional item costs an additional £3. A Earthstone or Potclays crank clay is available for handbuilders. For groupsIf you would like Hundred-aker-wood pottery to visit your social group or event to provide a pottery making demonstration and give your members a chance to have a go on the wheel themselves under the tuition and guidance of a potter then please give us a call to discuss your requirements. Typically a two and half hour one off local session costs just £52 with materials, tools and tuition included for the use of six wheels and hand building opportunities with a special air drying clay (needs no kiln firing). My whole mobile pottery set up is available for parties at special rates.
